| Malex Automotive was initially established in 2004 by Alex Moore whilst studying Business Enterprise at Coventry University, as an online supplier of car spares. The business specialised in used Ford parts, and then branched out into selling brand new motorsport accessories and styling parts. The business grew further, and added AUTOart to it's list of suppliers, and is now one of the UK's leading online stockists of AUTOart model cars, importing them from Germany for the British market. Due to the amount of large bulky items Malex Automotive sent in the early days of the business, a local delivery service known as MADS (Malex Automotive Delivery Service) was set up to serve our local customers . The service proved to be so popular it was then diversified to offer nationwide deliveries for other companies. A name change was decided on to better reflect the fact in was no longer solely an in-house delivery service. AM Logistics was formed, the name based on the initials of the founder. |
The logistics service grew rapidly due to our loyal customer base, quality service and reputation. Alex's
brother Thomas came on board as Transport Manager, and the partnership ATM Logistics was born.
In 2008, Malex Automotive Ltd was established, and brought Malex Automotive's online retail division
(now referred to as m-auto direct) and ATM Logistics under the same legal business entity.
Logistics is now the main activity of the business, having steadily gained new clients and invested in
more vehicles, and now accounts for approximately 80% of our turnover. Although now not our core
activity, automotive retail is still a passion for us, and we ensure that we continue to offer the highest
levels of service.

own the company along with a percentage of shares owned by a Moore family holding.
